I am working on a comissioned portrait of Sarah in Yellow dress inspired by the late Philip Alexius de Laszlo (British: 1869-1937). de Laszlo was a contemporary of John Singer Sargent and painted some of the same sitters. You can see more of his work by linking from the blog title. The inspiration painting is a portrait sketch he worked on in 1915 to finish a painting of the Honorable Ivy Gordon-Lennox (1887-1982).
I've posted the inspiration painting and my work in progress. Check back in again soon to see the final painting.
